Topo Maps is easy to use. It will allow you to:

- Measure traced distances by using the mouse to trace
a path.
- Georeferance places on the map images.
- Find locations by entering Lat/Lon or UTM
coordinates, as read from a GPS, display the map and place an
annotation at the location.
- Upload/download waypoints, routes and trackpoints to
your Garmin/Lowrance/Eagle/Magellan GPS.
- With GPS connected, Real Time Tracking displays your current
position on the map as you drive.
- Annotate maps with waypoints, text, symbols, lines
(connecting waypoints) and hyperlinks to web and multimedia content.
- Export maps and portions of maps, including
annotations, 1,000 meter UTM grid lines to the clipboard or a printer.
- Maps may be directly exported to .TIF and .TFW worldfile formats for
use with other GIS applications.
BigTopo
automatically seams quadrangles (collars/boarders removed) to build huge
map images. These images can be used in All Topo Maps or exported as
generic pictures to other applications and GIS/CAD tools.
All Topo Maps collections are packaged in dual or
quad jewel cases and include a straightforward User Manual, all the maps,
and the viewing program that you will need to access the maps. All
Topo Map collections are not repackaged into cardboard boxes
for you to throw away, when you purchase the program.
A setup program on the #1 data disk, installs the required placename
databases, tools and programs that you need to view All Topo
Maps and combine multiple purchased states into a contiguous
map set.

95/98/NT/2000/ME, 32 MB Ram, SVGA x 256 colors, 600 x 800 Monitor
Resolution, mouse, CD-ROM, and 200 MB available on hard drive.
Disk Space Requirements
The viewing program uses a map cache to store decompressed maps for
faster subsequent access. The default cache size is 20 Megabytes. Setting
the cache to a larger value will significantly speed up map display when
surfing between maps. The viewing program, help files and tools require
6.7 megabytes of hard drive space. The map cache may be set to 20, 40,
100, 200 or 500 megabytes. Each purchased state requires between 8 and 20
megabytes for the place name and georeferancing databases.
Screen Resolution
All Topo Maps works well with 640 x 480 screen
resolutions, but more screen pixels generate better looking maps.
