ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Harry Lewellyn, AKA the Silver Coyote,
has roamed he unpaved terrain since age 13, when in 1952 he helped his
father with their desert homestead near Victorville. He produced the California
OHV Guidebook for the California Department of Parks and
Recreation and publishes the 4-Wheeling newsletter "Ecological
4-Wheeling Adventures." He has been featured in
newspapers and magazines, appeared on radio and TV, teaches at 26
colleges, and trains law enforcement and rescue personnel about safe and
proper use of 4WD vehicles. He has come full circle from professional
motorcycle and off-road racer to the new bread of "clean and
easy" unpaved traveler. He leads 4WD tours throughout the
southwestern United States, Baja and the uncharted depths of Barrancas Del
Cobre (Copper Canyon), Mexico.
