Earthmate and a laptop PC will show your location on detailed Street
Atlas USA® 2007 maps (included). An
arrow shows your position in real time on street-level maps, so you
always know where you are and where you need to be. The included
Street Atlas USA 2007 is a street map of the entire country and major
roads in
Canada that automatically calculates a route for you—anywhere in
the US and many locations in Canada. Search by specific address, placename, ZIP Code,
latitude/longitude, street intersection or area code and exchange.
Specific
Address-to-Address Routing on the CD-ROM
Pick any two points on the map and have Street Atlas
USA 2007 create an address-to-address route. Unlike programs
that only allow address-to-address routing via an Internet connection,
you can easily create address-to-address routes directly from the Street
Atlas USA 2007 CDs.
GPS Voice Navigation and
Back-on-track Capabilities
Earthmate and Street Atlas USA 2007 work
together to allow your multimedia laptop to give you spoken
directions as you drive. Quickly get back on track using the
"Continue route from here" GPS voice command.
The new NMEA-compliant Earthmate LT-20 GPS
includes a convenient suction cup mount for secure in-vehicle
positioning. The removable 5-foot cable allows great flexibility
for in-vehicle placement, as well as extendibility into a whole new world
of current and future display devices. The USB connection powers the
receiver so batteries are not needed.
 Earthmate GPS
LT-20 includes a built-in LED
that transitions through the various satellite acquisition modes: red
for searching, yellow for two satellites in view, and green
for at least three satellites in view. Earthmate GPS LT-20 is a 12-channel
NMEA-compliant WAAS- enabled GPS receiver.
