Rick Russell has
been exploring the backwoods of California and Mexico for twenty years. In
1988 Rick began publishing and distributing trail maps under the name Sidekick
Off Road Maps. Two years later he published his first Off Road Event
Calendar and in 1992 Rick released his first Off Highway Adventure Series
Video. There are no actors or staged events in these videos, just
enthusiasts from all walks of life enjoying backcountry trips in their 4WD
vehicles. Today Rick is either out on the trail searching for a new trail
to map, taking photos for a magazine story he's writing, or taping a new
video. "Tough job! Somebody needs to do it!"
